We're currently looking for sponsors for our upcoming school-wide fundraiser. Our goal is to raise $15,000 for our WPJH Teen Center the Warrior Haven. This is a great opportunity to market your business to our community of 1,600 students. Our weekly newsletter reaches over 5,000 parents. We want to congratulate our Girls Volleyball team on an amazing season. They finished the regular season UNDEFEATED, and after a hard-fought battle against Mueller Park in the District Finals, took 2nd Place in the Davis School District end of year tournament. Our girls played with grit, intensity, and perseverance all season long. We could not be prouder of them!
Congratulations to our Lady Warriors Volleyball team who defeated Syracuse Jr high 2-1 in their semi-final match today. We will take on Mueller Park Jr in the finals on 8-Oct-2024 @ Bountiful High School at 3:15pm. Go Warriors!
WPJH Girls volleyball finished the 2024 regular season undefeated and continued their streak on 30-Sept-2024 in the home playoff game vs. Kaysville Jr. 2 -0!
The girls will play in Semi-final game on Thursday 3-Oct-2024 at Bountiful High School. Game time is 15-20 minutes after the 3:15pm game prior.

8th grade tryouts today, Monday, 9/30 at 4pm or immediately after the volleyball game ends. Thanks to all the 7th & 9th graders who tried out this morning. First cuts will be posted this evening between 6 and 7pm on the boys basketball webpage. Times for Wednesday's tryouts will be posted there too. Visit the news section on the WPJH website for details and tryout requirements. Remember, you must complete an AKTIVATE.COM account including uploading a current physical to your account to tryout. Also, scan the QR code for your grade on the big TVs to put your name on the tryout list today.
Boys Basketball preseason conditioning continues tomorrow Friday Sept. 27 from 6:30 to 7:30am in the gym. Tryouts begin Monday Sept. 30th at 6am for 7th and 9th grade, and for 8th grade they will be at 4pm or immediately after the volleyball game ends. Sing up for tryouts on your grade's QR code. Wear gym appropriate shoes and shorts. No hats. May bring a snack for afterwards and their own water.
Monday 9/23 from 6:30-7:30am,
Tuesday 9/24 again before school (may change to 6am if 6:30 doesn't give us enough time),
Wednesday 9/25 either at 8:30am, or after school at 3pm if we can get in the gym,
Thursday 9/26 either 6 or 6:30am.
Friday 9/27 either 6 or 6:30am.
Tryouts Monday 9/30
In order to tryout, each participant MUST complete an AKTIVATE.com (registermyathlete.com) account, including uploading a current physical, all before stepping on the court. Instructions for completing an account, as well as academic eligibility and other info. can be found on the WPJH Boys Basketball webpage.
Monday 9/30 either before or after school depending on grade, or both depending on the number of students trying out. Times TBA.
Tuesday 10/1 tryouts continue at times TBA, or both and/or practice begins.
Wednesday 10/2 practice begins and then continues M-F from 3:10pm-5pm or 5:30pm for the rest of the season except on game days and holidays the school is closed.

Where to find information and updates
Information regarding boys basketball has been going out the past few Fridays on the school newsletter and can also be found updated regularly on the school's home webpage in the news section, as well as on the WPJH Athletics page under Boys Basketball. For students in the building, the info. goes out every Mon. and Thurs. via video announcements shown during advisory class and is also displayed on the TVs hanging in the cafeteria and above the stage.

Boys basketball open gym today, Wed. 9/18, from 3-5pm in the gym. *Students can leave and return anytime between 3-5pm to accompany parents to Parent/Teacher conference.
WPJH Parent-Teacher Conferences Wednesday September 18, 2024 & Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The conferences will be open house style. Teachers will be in their classrooms with portable teachers inside in the hallways.
